A grandmother is a mother who has a second chance

I am officially old!

I had to buy a pill cutter....

The only person I ever knew with a pill cutter was my grandfather. The drug store sells them with the denture creams, hemmoroid lotions, and the stuff that turns gray hair a slight shade of blue.

When my back started hurting and the doctor told me it was due to "minor, expected changes", I accepted that. The high blood pressure pills - yeah, I went along with that, too. Hot flashes - love 'em. Daily mail from AARP - better than bills. But now I have to cut my pills. Next thing I'll be having the calendar on the bathroom counter where I can check off what pills I took today - in case I forget something! My grandfather had that, too.

Oh, well. Time marches on. Guess there's no sense in complaining about it. Think I'll just go dye my hair blue and be done with it.

You are not old - you're just "more mature!"

I have a pill cutter. I actually bought it for my dog to cut Benedryl in half for her allergies. However, my new vet says she can take a whole one.

Sometimes I take a Xanax at night and cut the 0.5 mg in half. I just use a butcher knife and give it a "whack" with my hand.

I think you're far too pretty to be old!!

Actually, I'm thinking more of Maxine - the Shoebox card character.

I quite like when old women have that kind of pink-cotton-candy type of hair. Perhaps you could try that? Vika would LOVE it!

As for getting messages from AARP, I am also on their mailing list (at 33 years old). I think it's because my AAA membership lists my birth-year as the year that my membership started.

Do you also have one of the pill boxes that has a compartment for each day of the week? : )
As for blue hair, you might fit right in with the Emo crowd!

Jenni!!! I get AARP stuff too! At least we won't be swept into a wave of depression when we finally reach the age that we need to be on their list. We will have been conditioned!
