Ka-ching, Ka-ching

Well, this is a first for me. It's two days before Christmas and not only is all my shopping done, but everything is wrapped!!! Last night Ed and I parked outselves in front of the Tin Man miniseries from SciFi and wrapped our little hearts out. So now we have a free day. May even be able to take in a movie. Unheard of this close to Christmas.

One of the traditions I started a few years ago is changing the way I do stocking stuffers. I love buying all the little last minute crap presents. Rather than weighing down the stockings, I find little gift bags and fill those. Of course, with our brood that amounts to a lot. Between Ed and I we have five kids and 10 grandchildren. As you can see, the stocking fill up one whole wall in the family room.

Since all the kids are married, they get a "couples" bag, but the grandkids still get their own. Ed thinks I'm a little nuts, and it does get a bit costly (Cost Plus and Target love me!). But it's one of my favorite things at Christmas so what the heck.

hi sandi. your wall of stockings look great! i love the quote at the top of your blog about a grandmother being a mother given a second chance. that's wonderful! i'm sure you are a rockstar to your kids and grandkids. congratulations to you and your hubby on having such a great family.

my hubby and i were finished with all shopping and wrapping like you guys, by friday. so the weekend has been laid back and lazy.

MERRY CHRISTMAS & HAPPY NEW YEAR to you and your family!
