Ciao

Well, tomorrow we leave for Italy and Austria. This will be the first time either Ed or I have taken a full 2-week vacation and we're really looking forward to it. At least, we will once we get to the airport. There is so much to do to get ready!

The worse part is that we couldn't get our seat assignments until 6:50pm tonight! So I sat here by the computer from 6:30 on checking every five minutes (you know, in case they make a mistake and let me check-in early!!!). Finally I was able to get the boarding passes and check-in so it feels a bit more secure.

And the whole 3 oz bottles in a quart sized bag is unbelievably difficult. What do I leave behind - my hair spray (NO), my vanilla spray (Ed said NO to leaving that behind), my Oil of Old Age (as my mother used to call it). We decided to abandon the toothpaste and mouthwash. We'll find a Farmacia somewhere over there and buy extra stuff. Even the mascara has to go in the little bag. Like someone could build a bomb from mascara!

Oh, well, better to be safe, I guess. We managed to get it all done and off we go!
