With Blogging and Free Cell, not sure I need another internet addiciton

I have a wonderful son-in-law named Jeff. He's intelligent, funny, a terrific father to my two grandchildren, and a great husband to my daughter, Jenni. So when I received an e-mail from him asking me to be his "friend", what could I say? Especially since the e-mail also indicated that Jeff only had TWO friends! Of course, I said yes and clicked on the weblink to prove it.

Turns out one of his friends was my daughter so I'm not sure that counts. Feeling an overpowering obligation to ensure that Jeff feels loved and befriended, I proceeded to sign up. At one point, a list came up with some people who might be willing to be my friend and, to my amazement, my daughter was on that list. So I clicked her little picture and said, why, yes, I'd love for Jenni to be my friend. When I finished the sign up, the only friend I had was Jeff! What happened to Jenni? I did a search and found her. Then I was asked if I wanted to "poke" her!! I had no clue what that meant, but I figured - what the hell, she's my kid. I can poke her if I want to. So Poke I did.

Then, a few minutes later I had another e-mail that said Jeff had written something on my wall! What! Did he get that from his son, Eamon (who is notorious for printing large E's on walls, furniture, dolls, etc.)? Is he so bored that he's taken to being a graffiti artist? And, as if that weren't enough, it asked me to click on another weblink and write on Jeff's wall. Seems like a lot to ask a person who is a compulsive "wipe off every finger print" type.

Now I'm waiting with bated (or baited - depending on where you look for the definition) breath to see what type of vandalism is in store today. We've already been through assault and property damage. I shudder to think what I'll be asked to do next.

It sound like you have a Facebook life now... ;-)

I have an account, but I can't keep up there and do everything else. Something would have to give...

Jeff here., Not that I "needed" befriending mind you, but being that you have some time now, I thought that you could augment the blog a bit. Oh, thanks for the oatmeal.
