Apparently size does matter

I picked Vika and Eamon up from school today. Came back to my house where we made blueberry muffins and they watched Power Rangers in the family room. Ed got home early, played outside with the kids for a bit, then noted how sharp the picture was on the tv the kids were watching (yes, he has his priorities).

So he asked me to turn on the tv in the living room to see if the picture there was as sharp. Let me preface this by saying that over the last couple of months Ed has been dying to find a good reason to buy a larger tv for the living room. Because, I mean, 46 inches is just too small!! I found the same channel on the living room tv, but it wasn't the same show as the family room. I went back and forth checking the channels and they were the same! But the show seemed to be different. What the heck?!? Same satellite system in both rooms. Then I went into the bedroom and turned on that tv. It had the same show as the living room. Now we were really confused. Bopping from room to room to see which tv had which show, and trying to figure out if the family room tv was on a different satellite system, different Tivo system, just plain screwed up.....

Then Vika hit the pause button and asked us what we were doing. Crap, that was it. She had hit the pause button earlier to go to the bathroom so, of course, her set was a couple of minutes behind the others. Ed and I looked at each other with "are we stupid or what" looks. Luckily the kids had no clue what was going on so they still think we're cool. At least I think they do.....

I have the same old TV in my hutch. I can't justify buying a new one when I don't watch it except for a couple of TV shows and the occasional DVD. Kids these days are certainly technology savvy!

That is hilarious! I'm sure the kiddos still think you are hip and cool. :)

I just can't believe you guys are getting another TV. Again. Man...

Vika is pretty TiVo savvy. She always pauses for a bit so then she can fast-forward through the commercials.
