Minor interruption

Putting in my contacts each day is not the most pleasant experience for me and I do not like to be interrupted while I'm struggling with it. So, this morning when I had one eye in and the other dangling from my eyelashes, the phone rang. Annoyed, I blinked my way over to the phone and, because the dangling lens was for reading, I couldn't tell who was on the phone. So I answered.

Phone: Good Morning, is Howard [last name] there?
Me: There's no Howard here.
Phone: Oh, I'm sorry, I meant Edward. Is he there?
Me: No, he isn't here either.
Phone: Oh, is this Sandi [last name]?
Me: Yes, it is.
Phone: Oh, great, you'll do fine! (I'll do FINE?!? Why, thank you!) I'm not trying to sell anything (yeah, right). I'm calling from Wells Fargo and we want to give you a $25 gas card for trying our new product - life insurance, blah, blah, blah
Me: No thanks, Howard and I have enough insurance at this time.

Back to installing the contacts.
