From Son to Husband

My son is married! He is now someone's husband. It took me a couple of years to fully accept that my daughter was someone's wife. They're still my kids, for god's sake!! He was so happy - as you can tell by this picture. The wedding was relly fun. Angie and her father danced their way down the aisle. The minister was a bit speechless - said that was a first for him. The father daughter dance song was L-O-V-E by Nat King Cole, and Joe and I danced to Rainbow Connection by Kermit the Frog! It was one of the songs the kids and I used to sing on road trips when they were young and it had special meaning to me. He was nice enough to agree! Angie is a singer in the band that played for the wedding. So she sang most of the songs with them and Joe played the drums for a couple of the songs. And now they're in Italy on their honeymoon. I tried to convince them to take me and Ed, but it didn't work....

Angie looked beautiful. Here's a photo of her and Vika primping before the ceremony, me dancing with the groom, and a photo of Joe with Jenni.
So now all of my kids and Ed's kids are married. Our home is full at holidays and we wouldn't have it any other way. Welcome to the family, Angie.

I love a big family on the holidays. Makes it so much more fun. My parents are divorced and remarried. I have a big family on one side with 3 step-sisters and their families and on the other it is just me. Two completely different celebrations but I wouldn't miss either.
It looks like it was a beautiful wedding! Everyone looks beyond happy! Congrats to the whole family!
