I Can Name That Song.....

Today, before we started out on our wine-tasting adventure in Cambria and Paso Robles, we decided to stop for lunch. Found a great hamburger stand in Templeton called Sylvester's. Their slogan is "Big, Hot, and Juicy" - a slogan they have emblazoned on t-shirts and shorts for anyone daring (tacky??) enough to wear them.

We ordered big, hot and juicy cheeseburgers and french fries. Since this is NOT our usual diet, they tasted especially good. There were a couple of tv's mounted on the walls and the one I was facing had ESPN on it (just my luck). There was also some music playing, mostly 50's and 60's stuff. At one point Ed started humming the song that was playing.

Ed: Remember that song?
Me: Yes, I do. Can't remember the name.
Ed: It's Lazy Days. Do you know who sang it?
Me: Um, not sure.
Ed: Spanky and Our Gang. It came out in 1967.
Me: How do you know that?
Ed: I just know these things.
Me: No! You don't!

He had the "ha-ha I'm putting one over on her" grin on his face so I turned around to see what was on the tv he was watching and - Surprise!! - it was a music video channel describing all the songs that were being played. He just said, "Crap."

Valiant effort on his part - I just know him too well.
